Last year, bold color choices for cabinets gave new life to kitchen remodels and opened the creative door for new kitchen designs. This year, it’s no surprise that these same trends are transitioning into bathrooms. We spend a lot of time in the privacy of these rooms so why shouldn’t the design be as aesthetically pleasing as the rest of our home? Bold color choices for bathroom cabinets or vanities add instant personality and open the door to a wide variety of accessories such as innovative hardware styles, fixtures and decor.

The small size of most bathrooms presents the perfect opportunity to do something a little different so don’t be afraid to incorporate a bold color into your design. Need some inspiration?

Here are a few of our favorites…

Navy…it’s the new black with a classy and clean look that pairs well with gold fixtures. Yes, gold is back and it looks better than ever! Add a simple countertop and voila! Navy looks great with any color but consider keeping it simple and use white to accentuate the boldness of the dark blue hue. Sherwin Williams color forecast for 2017 includes a great navy called Anchors Aweigh.

If navy doesn’t float your boat, how about mixing it up with a lovely blue-green vanity. The hint of turquoise adds spunk to any color palette and can be incorporated whether your style is bohemian or traditional. Paired with whites or metallic accents you’re sure to have a show stopper. Sherwin Williams Marea Baja is a great option for this color.

The small size of most bathrooms presents the perfect opportunity to do something a little different. For example, consider adding patterned tile floors to your design to create even more character without overpowering the room.

Or perhaps you prefer a softer color scheme. This sea glass inspired color palette provides a calm, spa-like feel. A natural quartz tops the apple-green vanity, where an oversized mirror reflects light from the opposite-facing window and creates the illusion of a larger bathroom. Wouldn't this be a nice escape to relax in at the end of the day? A great option for a similar vanity color is Sherwin Williams Organic Green.

The options are endless so don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and go for it! If you have design questions or want more information on how to create a bold bathroom that fits your life, go ahead and contact us, today!

You'll be glad you did!
