Let Us Ease Your Mind & Help Create Your Dreams
“Anyone can sell cabinets, but we design for the individual client who may or may not cook, may or may not entertain, may have two cooks, may have a large family or special needs; these are all considerations taken into account when working for our customer.” - Janet Wilson, Owner
Kitchen Innovations lives by the motto “Let Us Ease Your Mind and Help Create Your Dreams”. Janet Wilson, the owner/operator, says, we don’t just say it, we believe it: it is a mindset”. That is evident by the teamwork that goes into every project. She and her colleague, Beth Russell, believe that education is an essential part of the process. Together, they make sure their clients know all of the options and possibilities available to meet their objectives. They design the project based on the individual’s needs and goals!
Together, Janet and Beth bring years of experience but most of all, a combined passion for not only kitchen and bath design but a sincere dedication to create beautiful and functional spaces for their clients. Kitchens are the heartbeat of the home while the bathroom is sometimes a place to retreat or relax. These are both rooms in the house that should be carefully thought out with the clients' needs and wants in mind. They are personal areas that should reflect the owner of the home because after all, there’s no place like home!
Janet Wilson was considered a “military brat” and lived in 8 different states and traveled to many others before she was a teenager. She graduated high school and college just outside of Washington DC where she lived for more than 10 years before moving South. She lived in Jacksonville, Florida where she was the youngest sales rep. and one of very few women working in sales for a fortune 500 company. She was fortunate to have experienced the corporate world early on and while she enjoyed it, wouldn’t trade her simple lifestyle for it. She moved to Fort Walton Beach to live close to her sister who was stationed at Eglin at the time and Janet fell in love with the Emerald Coast. Although her sister has been gone for a while, Janet found her home and has never left. She first worked for a local cabinet shop before opening and running a cabinet division within an existing company. Janet chose to open Kitchen Innovations in 2001 to share her passion for kitchens and baths with others.
Beth Russell is originally from Fayetteville, NC but moved to the Panhandle area in 2012 and currently resides in beautiful Fort Walton Beach with her son. She says, “What you will learn about me is that I love kitchens!” In North Carolina, she worked for a locally owned custom cabinet shop for several years and fell in love with the thrill of designing and seeing designs on paper come to life in a customer’s home. Seeking further education, Beth left home and ultimately decided on a degree in Culinary Arts. She graduated in May of 2012 and cooked in the culinary/food service industry in professional kitchens but decided that her passion was designing kitchens, so she stepped back into the kitchen and bath industry. Beth says, “I am excited to be a part of the design team here at Kitchen Innovations and to get back into creating dream kitchens!”
